Using this Knife sharpening system, the Jende JIGS for Knives is quick and simple: Clamp, Set your angle, and Go. The movable clamps adjust quickly to fit any length of blade, and the Exacudrive micro adjust system guarantees fast, perfect, and repeatable angles every time. It’s that easy. Watch our how-to videos below, or go to our JIGS Instructional video playlist to see them all.
Standard sharpening outfit includes the JIGS sharpening system, Acrylic base, IP 65 waterproof angle cube, 3mm hex tool, five standard 1×6 sharpening stones: 220, 1K Naniwa starter stones, and 600, 1K, and 3K Chosera stones.
This is the Jende JIGS 2.0 version, which incorporated the minor tweaks from the 1.0 version, which included the stronger spring tension on the rotary, and the teflon collars on the Exacudrive. The biggest improvements to the 2.0 is a stainless steel rotary (which was brass before), and the crossbar is now magnetic so it is easier to zero out the angle cube before sharpening.
There are 2 additions to the JIGS 2.0: The first is an extention to the exacudrive for big knives like the FN Big Taiwan Tuna Knives, which can add about 8 degrees to the height. On the other end, there is a small knife clamp attachment that inserts into the existing clamps, which lower the angle by about 4 degrees.
